DECOMPOSITION BOOKS. i was checking these out at sam flax this past sunday. i like how tactile they are. also that each feels a little imperfect and unique. clearly my faves are the nature scenes, but i really love them all. some even have gridded pages. now if only we could get them in dot-grids — i’d buy in bulk.

p.s. there are mini ones as well.

Hp Print Experience Center

We had a great time at the Hp Print Experience Center event hosted by AIGA Atlanta this February. The event included guided tours of the Hp digital press studios, Neenah paper samples, wine + snacks, and a drawing for prizes.

Sadly, we did not win any prizes, but we were selected to submit a poster design to be printed on Hp’s digital presses. We thought ourselves very cool :)

The vodka, ginger beer, and lime combo is even more enjoyable when sipping from the traditional copper mugs! Aren’t they gorgeous? I found these on ebay. I’ve seen them on overstock as well. Apple Image Faux Pas: Dislike

Apple has product images with (obviously unintentional) white backgrounds on their website. Gasp!

The new iPhone landing page (View in Firefox. Of course, Safari looks correct.) has every phone image with white, squared off corners. How could THE design gurus of our time allow this to happen?! I’m in shock. Disbelief. As if the disappointment over the iPhone 4s (instead of iPhone 5) could be worse?

Why, Apple? Why?
